When attending CES, Targus and Hyper are always on my list of companies that I have to see. From high-tech backpacks to power solutions at every level, they make sure that every professional and creative has what they need to get the job done. For CES 2026, we focused on the new offerings from Hyper.
The major announcement from Hyper this year was their new USB4 M.2 PCIe enclosure, the HyperDrive Next. While many enclosures on the market focus on additional storage, the HyperDrive aims to extend the capabilities of your PC and improve your workflow. This can work as a hard drive enclosure, but why limit yourself?
One of the use cases that was explained during our meeting with Hyper was running your own AI locally versus relying on your base PC or the cloud. If you mainly operate from a laptop, just install your M.2 accelerator module into the HyperDrive, and you are off to the races.
While the HyperDrive focuses on additional power, the HyperSpace Trackpad Pro wants to improve your overall workflow. By this time, we are all familiar with gestures on pc trackpads. Hyper wanted to take the best of the best when it comes to features and level the HyperSpace Trackpad up one more time.
Not only are you getting gestures, but you also get haptics, zero latency, pressure sensing for up to 10 fingers, and custom profiles/shortcuts. From Excel to Photoshop, and even gaming, the possibilities are limitless. I really haven’t seen anything like this before.

If you want to get your hands on the HyperDrive Next, head over to the Hyper site, and you can grab it for $199.99. There is no date for the HyperSpace Trackpad, but the price will be $129.99 when available.
There were a ton of other products that we had a chance to check out, so stay tuned for more news from Hyper and Targus.
