Physical Games and Accessibility

Ever since PlayStation announced that it would no longer ship games on disc, there have been many different conversations about ownership. While owning something that you paid money for is important, we also have to talk about accessibility. At times, we forget that not all gamers have the same network access.

In the U.S., there are regions where network providers are limited or the amount of data you use in a month is capped. The file size of games like Call of Duty surpassed 200 gigabytes. With the current storage crisis, I feel like physical games are more important than ever. XBOX’s Game Pass started me on my digital journey, but I still understand the want and need for physical media.
