The Predator Atlas 8 is Acer’s first entry into the handheld market, and it is set to release on November 1. It is powered by an Intel Arc G3 processor and has an 8-inch 120Hz display with 500 nits of peak brightness. This handheld utilizes full Windows 11, so not only do you have full access to your Game Pass library, but you can also load other launchers like Steam and GOG.
If you want to use this docked (or even as a main PC), there are plenty of I/O ports. Input-wise, the Atlas 8 uses TMR thumbsticks which reduce contact wear over time. The hall-effect triggers give the user accurate, pressure-sensitive input. This handheld also sports macro-ready back buttons and a multi-touch touchscreen display. This is the perfect device for the casual and hardcore gamer alike.
At an MSRP of 1299, the Acer Atlus 8 handheld stands up to all of the competitors on the market. The Atlus 8 will be available exclusively at Best Buy. The first round of preorders is already sold out, but keep your finger on that refresh button for the next restock.
