I bet when you hear the name Firefox, a card game is not the first thing that comes to your mind. Firefox prides itself on being a company not backed by billionaires, so it only makes sense that it made a game about sending billionaires to space. I didn’t know what to expect when I first heard about Firefox’s game, Data War, but I had a ton of fun.

The concept is very simple. You are working to get one billionaire card and three resource cards to win. All players play from the same deck, and there are conditional cards sprinkled within. Think of a hyped up version of I declare war. When Data War was first explained to me, it didn’t make sense, but it clicked immediately once I got my hands on it.
Data War is about timing, strategy, and getting greedy billionaires out of the way. It was great to get hands-on with this at Twitchcon, but unfortunately, this card game is not available for purchase. You can visit the site to learn more about Data War and download a deck to print out. There is also a digital version that is available to play right NOW. Definitely take a minute and check out Data War.
