The developers at Great Ape Games stressed that the Dinosaurs in The Lost Wild are just living their lives. As the player, you have to monitor each different type of creature and learn how they interact with the environment. You are not being hunted for fun or sport. You are purely a part of nature.
The developers consider this a horror survival game. The gameplay is similar to Alien: Isolation. You will gain access to various gadgets and non-lethal weapons. Each item helps you in your exploration, but your journey continues to get more dangerous as you go. As I stated, you are learning patterns and hiding from predators.
The coolest thing about The Lost Wild was the journey it took to get where we are. The Lost Wild started as a passion project built around the love for dinosaurs. Even though the team is still small, the team and project have grown into something more. This is a game, I think people need to pay attention to. I can’t wait to get my hands on The Lost Wild.
