The ROG Xbox Ally Is Coming

It appears that the rumors were indeed true. Xbox and Asus have just announced the ROG Xbox Ally. Gamers have been asking for an Xbox handheld for years, but I don’t think that this made sense for Xbox until now. The popularity of handheld PCs has exploded over the past few years. That, along with the increasing price of games pushing people to Game Pass, created the perfect storm.

If you are familiar with the ROG Ally, the ROG Xbox Ally will be very familiar to you. The main changes are a dedicated Xbox button, new controller-like grips, and a new mobile processor. Similar to the current ROG Ally lineup, there are two versions to pick from. You have the base model Xbox Ally with the Ryzen Z2 processor and the Xbox Ally X with the AI Z2 Extreme Processor. We don’t have an idea of what the price as of yet, but my guess is that they will fall in line with the current lineup. Gamers can expect to spend 700 and 900 dollars on these premium handhelds. You can expect more information and a release date later this year.
