I played a full game of Lego Party on the Lego Pirates map with a friend, and I was able to give him a hug after. As competitive and nail biting the game was, we could not help but laugh and smile about how beautiful the maps were.
It has the usual dice rolls with minigames after everyone rolls in the quest to have the most golden bricks at the end. Theres over 1 billion minifigure combinations that you can use to even create your own characters.
One of the spaces I love the most on the board is a space that allows you to generate another area of pathway based on the theme of the map. In the image below you’ll see a pirate ship that can become an extension of the board.
I believe with the numerous partners LEGO has; this game has the chance to dominate the family couch co-op board game genre. The release date is slated for some time in 2025 and I will be grabbing a copy myself.
