FBC: Firebreak puts you in the shoes of what is essentially a fire crew in the oldest house. You are equipped with patchwork weapons and armor that you upgrade as you level up and make your way through the various missions and levels.
When gamers first jumped into FBC: Firebreak, many were left with mixed feelings about the game. It felt like it too, some time to get to the fun. The progression felt like that of a free-to-play game. Gun upgrades and class abilities really changed the strategy and how the game played. Unfortunately, they were stuck behind pages of cosmetics.
While I was having fun with the game, I could understand why so many people decided to step away. Remedy responded quickly to all of the player feedback and released a welcome update. The weapon and ability upgrades were split into a separate upgrade tree, and the points utilized for said upgrades are more easily attainable. There were some additional quality of life and accessibility updates that you can learn about HERE.
FBC: Firebreak has made a lot of great improvements since its release, and I think it is a good time to jump in. If you have Xbox Game Pass to PlayStation Plus, you can check it out with no barrier to entry. I have been having a great time with the game, and I trust Remedy as a developer. With more content coming this year at no additional cost, I hope people revisit this title.
